John McGuire died at his home last Friday night, March 24th, after many weeks of suffering, aged 52 years. He had been a resident of Spencer for twenty-five years, was a member of a bridge gang on the Milwaukee road. He had been an invalid since last June, went to Rochester for surgical treatment but failed to regain his health, and has steadily declined ever since. The summons meant to him a release from suffering. Funeral was held at the church of the Sacred Heart Monday morning conducted by Father Hunt. Interment was made at Riverside cemetery.
