Sylvester Kinyon died at his home in Spencer township, Friday, March 3Oth. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Glass last Saturday and the body interred in the Spencer cemetery. Deceased was born in Bradford county, Pennsylvania, May 26, 1827 and had lived at Waverly, Iowa for a number of years. He moved to Clay county a short time ago having purchased the Bert LaBrant farm. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Mary A. Kinyon, and six children, Mrs. J. B. Lewis, of this city, Mrs. E. E. Wise, Thos. and Amy Kinyon, of Spencer township, O. Kinyon, of Waterford, and Mrs. R. H. Watson, of Grovehill, Iowa, to mourn his death.
Deceased was a kind husband and father and a good neighbor and his death a loss to the community.
