Milo married Mona June Holmberg on August 13, 1950 at the First Congregational Church in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they began farming in the Rossie area and later continued to farm in Clay County for 18 years. Milo was affiliated with the Grace United Methodist Church and the First Congregational Church in Spencer. He thoroughly enjoyed his life, fishing, playing cards, watching NASCAR racing and going for a car ride in the country. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending all of his family's events.
