Norma C. Grundy, 1917-1988

Services for Norma C. Grundy, 70, Spencer, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hope Reformed Church. Mrs. Grundy died Monday at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

The Rev. Albert Moss will officiate at the services for Mrs. Grundy. Burial will be in Riverside.

Casket bearers will be members of the Daybreakers Kiwanis Club, Louie Hansen, Dave Wagner, Duaine Holck, Bob Porter, Russ Heine and Don Moore. The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of George and Mary Paulson Richmond, Mrs. Grundy was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Her childhood years were spent in Sioux Falls where she attended public schools. After her education, she worked in Sioux Falls until moving to Milwaukee, Wis., and several northwest Iowa towns, eventually settling in Spencer around 1950.

She worked at Stub's House of Plenty as a waitress for 31 years, retiring in the fall of 1981. She was a member of the Hope Reformed Church, VFW Auxiliary and a past member of the Business and Professional Women of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Leland.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Richmond of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Stewart Richmond of Irvine, Calif., and two sisters Janice Coddington of Rapid City, S.D., and Grace Wieman of Sioux Falls, S.D.
