Called Home
Another of the "lambs of the upper fold" has been taken away from a home circle and left aching hearts behind. Little Gertrude Olson, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Olson, died after a lingering illness on Monday, Jan. 2, 1911, at the tender age of seventeen months. The funeral services were held at the house Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond and interment was made at Riverside cemetery. She was a bright attractive child, and fond hearts clung to her, unwilling to give her up, but it availed not. Just a little after the New Year had opened its gates to us all, at noon she heard the call from above and went over, leaving behind a vacant place that cannot be filled, but hope of a happy meeting beyond.
