Anthony Jordan Services Held at Hartley

Funeral services for Anthony E. Jordan of Hartley, a former Clay county resident , were conducted Tuesday, January 2, 1962, at 2 o'clock p.m. from the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley. The Rev. R. G. Beck officiated at the service.

Music was provided by the soloist Mrs. Lambert Mastbergen, who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden". Organist was Mrs. Audley DeGraaf.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lux was in charge of the floral tributes.

Serving as pallbearers were: Orlo Jordan, Jack Rohweder, Albert Rohweder, Edwin Lohse, Vernon Ihnen and Chris Baumeister.p

Interment was made in Lone Tree Cemetery near Everly.

OBITUARY

Anthony Ernest Jordan, the son of Catharine and Hans Henry Jordan, was born September 6,1881 at Keystone in Benton County, Iowa. He passed into eternal rest on December 30, 1961 at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 24 days, in Hartley Iowa, where he had lived for many years.

He attended the rural schools near his boyhood home at Keystone, and at Dysart, where the family moved when he was very young.

They had three children, Leona, Eldo, and Lester, all of whom survive their parents. Mrs. Jordan preceded her husband in death on November 6, 1961.

Left to cherish his mimory is his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Behmler of St. Paul, Minnesota; his sons and daughters-in-law: Mr. and Mrs Eldo Jordan of Babbitt, Minnesota and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jordan of Denver, Colorado; a sister: Mrs. Amanda Rohweder of Evrly, Iowa; four grandchildren: Mrs. Fritz Petersen of Babbitt, Minnesota; Mrs. Peter Miller of St. Paul, Minnesota; Lynn Jordon of Babbitt, Minnesota and Kent Jordan of Denver, Colorado; three great grandchildren: Scotty, Gregory, and Linda Miller all of St. Paul as well as other relatives and a great many friends.
