Dickens--Funeral for Harvey Elester Culver, 85, of Dickens, who died Saturday morning, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dickens Methodist Church. Rev. C.A. Claypool will officiate and burial will be in the Dickens Cemetery. Leland Chamberlain will sing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Nearer My God to Thee." Mrs. Donald Wilson will be accompanist. Pallbearers will be John Stulen, Walt Moeller, Delbert Storey, Bruce Crane, Fred Flack and Lavern Arndt.

Mr. Culver is survived by a son, Howard Culver of Garden Grove, Calif.; two grandchildren. Mrs. June Zieman of Ames and Mrs. Jane Ingram of Garden Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Dewey Culver of Dickens. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on May 11, 1954; and a brother Leonard, May 5, 1962.

Harvey Elester Culver was born Feb. 24, 1878 at Lone Rock, Wis. to George and Melissa Powers Culver, coming to Iowa in a covered wagon when seven years old. His marriage to Grace Pearl James took place at Dickens, Dec. 11, 1901.

He was a member of the Dickens Methodist Church and I.O.O.F. lodge.

Interment in Dickens cemetery.
