1880 - 1954

Grace Pearl Culver, age 73, of Dickens, was born at Alta, Sept. 19, 1880, died May 11, 1954, at the Spencer Municipal hospital. She was married to Harvey Culver at Dickens, Dec. 1l, 1901. To this marriage was born one son, Howard J. Culver, of Dickens. She has one brother and five sisters, Fred James of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Georgie Taylor of Ruthven, Mrs. Ruth Logan of Webb, survive. Mrs. Detta Horn, Mrs. Ina Miller, and Mrs. Nettie Brownell preceded her in death. Besides her two sisters and brother she leaves her husband, her son Howard, two grand children, Jane Culver at home in Dickens and Mrs. June Zieman of Royal, also two great grandchildren, Rox Ann and Jon Zieman of Royal. She was a member of the Dickens Methodist church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Cemetery Association, and Community Club.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace P. Culver were held Friday, May 14, at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist church in Dickens, Rev. J.L. Ralston officiated. Burial was in the Dickens cemetery. Dick Blackhurst sang, "Ring the Golden Bells," and "Face to Face," accompanied by Mrs. Clara Johnson. Pallbearers were Lawrence Jones, Bruce Crane, William Cury, Pete Stoker, Orville Wilson and John Stulen.

Interment in Dickens cemetery.
