The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, IowaLast rites were held from the Webster funereal home Thursday afternoon for Mollie Ellen Wilson, 94, who died last Friday in Alpine, California. She had lived near Osceola for half a century.
Rev. Azel Smith officiated and burial was in Maple Hill cemetery. Music was provided by Emil Rinderspacher, accompanied by Mrs. W.H. Harlan.Mollie Ellen Wilson was born in Gentryville, Mo., May 3, 1860, daughter of John and Elizabeth Trimble. She was married in 1875 to Joseph Wilson. They had four children, three of whom survive. They are a son, Jasper, of near Osceola, two daughters, Ora Dawsey of Alpine, California, and Lela Bannister of Washington D.C. Another son, Ira, preceded her in death as did her husband.
Other survivors include nine grandchildren, Donald Curley, Joanne Ewing, Joseph Bannister jr., Juanita Roper, Joseph Dawsey, Jasper Dean, Lowell Wilson, Robert Wilson and Shirley Wilson.
She was a member of the A.M.E. church.
