The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, IowaJoseph Wilson, son of Washington and Maria Wilson, was born near Fairport, Mo., August 3, 1854, and departed this life June 21, 1931, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 18 days.
Moving his family from Maysville, Mo., in 1893, he located on a farm in Fremont Township, Clarke County, Iowa where they have resided ever since.
He was united in marriage to Mollie Trimble, 56 years ago, having married October 14, 1875, at Centerville, Mo. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters, one son, Ira Lee, preceding him in death thirty years; this leaves to mourn his death a devoted wife, Mrs. Mollie Wilson, three children, Mrs. Ora Dawsey and Jasper D. Wilson both of Osceola, Iowa, and Mrs. Lela Banister of Des Moines, Ia., a brother, Dudley Wilson, of Cameron, Mo., two sons-in-law, Roy Dawsey of Osceola and Joe Banister of Des Moines, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Oakley Mae Wilson, Osceola, four grandchildren, Juanita Dawsey, Joseph Dawsey, Donald W. Curley Banister and Jasper D. Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a kind and affectional husband and father, always devoted to home and family and his loss will be sincerely felt by all who loved and knew him.

The Osceola TribuneJoseph Wilson (colored) aged 76 yeas, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Dawsey in east Osceola, Sunday, June 21. Mr. Wilson, a farmer on route four, had been a patient at a Des Moines hospital for a few weeks, before he was brought here to the home of his daughter. He is survived by wife and three children.
