Services for Jasper D. Wilson, sr., 87 of 1535 Ninth St., who died Sunday at Mercy Hospital of cancer, will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Estes and Son Funeral Home with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

A native of Maysville, Mo., Mr. Wilson farmed in Osceola before moving to Des Moines 17 years ago. He was a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church of Osceola.

Surviors include his wife, Oakley; two daughters, Veola Campbell of Seattle, Wash., and Shirley Wilson of Des Moines; three sons, Jasper, jr., Lowell and Robert, all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Jasper Wilson of Des Moines and former Clarke County resident died Sunday, July 18. The Wilson family lived in Fremont Township while a resident of this area. Surviving Wilson are his wife, Oakley and five children.

Visitation will be held at the Estes and Son Funeral Home in Des Moines Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
