Charles Twyford died October 25th, after being seriously ill two weeks with dropsy. He was seventy-three years, eleven months and seven days old. He was born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania.

In 1865 he came to this state, bringing his family, and since 1867 has lived on the farm in Fremont township where he died.

Eight children and his aged wife survive to mourn his loss. Henry, John, Mrs. Agnes Harlan, Martha E., James William, Charles Albert, Mrs. Emma Prine, and Mrs. Samantha Reed.

He was a kind husband and parent, an honest and industrious man. He was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years.
The funeral services were held at the house, Wednesday, the Rev. J. Morris officiating, and his remains were laid to rest in Union Chapel cemetery.
