Mrs. Martha Twyford, widow of Charles Twyford deceased, died Tuesday night at the residence of Wine Love in Liberty township, at the advanced age of 74 years.

The funeral service will be held today (Thursday) at Harlan church, at 11 o’clock, and conducted by Rev. Morris.

Martha Conkle was born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania. In 1840 she was married in that county and state to Charles Twyford, with whom she came to Clarke county, Iowa, in 1865. She was the mother of 14 children, eight of whom, four sons and four daughters, survive her.
