Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22, for Lyle Raymond Schaff, 67, who died in Osceola on Monday, February 19, 1968. Rev John Dale will conduct the services which will be held from the Webster Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Maple Hill cemetery. Osceola.

Lyle Raymond Schaff was born November 9, 1900, in Union county, Iowa, son of John Schaff and Anna Smull Schaff. He attended schools in Union county prior to his marriage to Bertha Mennealy on December 21. 1928, in Osceola. Eight children were born to the Schaffs. He was a mechanic at Sargent's Quarry and lived the last 21 years in Clarke county.

Survivors include his wife. Bertha, of Osceola; five daughters, Lois Flowers of Tama, Ilene Lindsey of Ames, Joy Pigg of Des Moines, Betty Bromley of Osceola and Eva Schaff of Des Moines: three sons. Bud Schaff of Osceola, Glenn Schaff of Des Moines and Richard Schaff of Tama; 15 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a brother, Kenneth of Murray; nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother, Ernest; a grandchild and one great grandchild.
