—Rev. Dr. Geo. Burt, died at Prairie Grove, May 8th, and was buried Sunday. He was a Holiness preacher. His age was past sixty years. We have no obituary, as yet.

A Curious circumstance is told in connection with the death of Rev. Burt, who died near Prairie Grove recently. About five years ago, he was near death, but having a strong belief that he had not been punished sufficiently yet in this life for his sins, he prayed that he might live for five years to endure and expiate his sins. He recovered, contrary to all expectation and lived almost exactly five years more.
