Buried Dec. 29John Harris, 94, died December 26 at the Jefferson Nursing home at Indianola. The veteran retired farmer had lived in Clarke and Warren counties since he was 17. He had never married.
Funeral services for Mr. Harris were held Thursday, December 29, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. at the New Virginia Methodist church. Rev. Cecil Murrow officiated at the services conducted by the Kale Funeral Home. Burial is in the Fremont cemetery.
Mr. Harris was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving relatives include a brother, James M. of New Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Frank, William and Charles and two sisters; Maude and Ida.
