Services For Mrs. Jacob
Shively, To Be Held Sun.

Services for Mrs. Harriett Shively, widow of the late Jacob Shively, will be held from the Webster Funeral Home in Osceola at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Shively, pioneer of Clarke county, died March 9 in California where she had made her home for the past 13 years. She was 100 years old.

Her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Shively, who had spent several weeks in California, arrived Wednesday to complete funeral arrangements. All of the five children are expected here for the services.

The body arrived in Osceola last night.

Mrs. Shively was born in Pennsylvania on July 16, 1844 and came to Clarke county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Gibson when she was 8 years old. She grew to womanhood on a farm east of Osceola and lived in this county more than 80 years.

Mr. Shively died in 1932 and she went to California to make her home with her daughters.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ida Nelson, Mrs. Edith Halvorsen and Mrs. Susie Nelson of California, and two sons, Dr. J. D. Shively of Clinton, Mo. and L. E. Shively of Osceola.
