Benjamin Leroy Saddoris was born September 9th, 1884, in Clarke County, Iowa, and departed this life November 16, 1900, aged sixteen years, two months and seven days. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch R. Saddoris. For two years he was a patient sufferer of that dreaded disease, consumption. He knew he could not get well and was ready when the summons came but seemed to worry for those left behind, and his last word was "rest."

Funeral service was conducted by W.A. McCorkle from the M.P. church in this city, after which he was laid away to await the resurrection of the just. May God comfort the bereaved.
