Born in Jefferson county, Iowa, in the year 1861; and died in South Omaha, Nebraska, January 4, 1909. The remains were brought to Osceola and the funeral services were held at the home of his
sister, Mrs. Caroline Graves on Wednesday, January 6, conducted by Rev. Davis, pastor of the M.E. church. Interment in the Maple Hill cemetery.

He is survived by his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Ream, of Fremont township; one daughter, Jessie E., of Osceola: three sisters and six brothers:
C.F. Ream, Aztell, Kan.; Mrs. Caroline Graves, Mrs. Huldah Saddoris, Osceola; Sarah C. Ream, Ottoe, Okla.; A. J. of Kansas City; W. C. of Homer, Neb.; J. L., Axtell, Kan.; A. M. and Charley of Osceola.
