Franklin Howard Saddoris was born in Clarke County June 27, 1882, and died Nov. 8, 1904. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch R. Saddoris. The deceased had been a great sufferer for two years with that dread disease, consumption, one brother having preceded him to the Heavenly home four years ago with the same disease. Frank was never known to murmur during the two years of his sickness. He was patient until the end came, saying he was nearing Heaven's gate. He was universally loved and few young men leave so many friends to deplore their loss. Last August in company with his brother, Fred, he went to Minnesota in the hope of regaining his health, but he gradually grew weaker and was compelled to return home. He joined the M.P. church at the early age of nine years, under the preaching of Rev. Tillotson at Ridge church and his voice was always heard in song and testimony. He leaves a mother, father, three brothers and one sister to mourn his loss.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dillavou and attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends.
