The wife of Rev. Jonathan Brewer formerly stationed as pastor of the A.M.E. church in Osceola died at her mother’s home in Albia September 5th while giving birth to a child. The child is dead also. The death is an unusually sad one and their friends in the city will be shocked to hear the news.

Rev. and Mrs. Brewer are estimable young colored people. They had been married about a year and a half. Mrs. T. Edwards and Mrs. John Bryant went to Albia Tuesday to attend the funeral.
