Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Bryant were held at the A. M. E. church Sunday afternoon, December 13th at 2:30 conduced by the Rev. E. M. Warrne of Des Moines and assisted by Rev. E. M. Berry, also of Des Moines.

Mrs. Bryant passed away at her home here Thursday forenoon, December 10th.

Mrs. Mary Bryant was born in Utica, Missouri, Livingston county, October 7th, 1837. She died in Osceola, Iowa, Thursday December, 19th, at the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

She was married to Mr. John Bryant, in 1864 in Decatur and in 1865 moved to Osceola, Iowa, where they lived happily until August 27, 1910 when her husband was taken from her by death. To this union were born eight children. Four preceded their mother in death. Johnnie. Nellie, Harry and Samuel. Samuel died the 21st of July, 1931. She leaves to mourn her passing, Frank of Osceola, Charley of Des Moines, George of Omaha and Roy of Detroit, Michigan; three daughters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her health began failing about ten yeas ago. Her eyes began to fail. She was a patient sufferer, confined to her bed two months. Her sons attended her so faithfully; George coming from Omaha and cared for her during her last days, until last Thursday when the death Angel came and took her home where she may rest from her labors and be with those who have gone on to the Glory land.
