"Blair Reitzel, civil war veteran, 90 years old, and resident of the state for the last seventy-one years, died at his home, 1425 Twenty-sixth Street, early yesterday morning. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Dunn’s funeral establishment. He had resided in Des Moines for the last seven years. The Rev. Charles Medbury will officiate at the funeral assisted by the Adelphic lodge, A.F.&A.M. Members of the Crocker post, of which he was a member, will attend the funeral. Burial will be at Woodland cemetery. Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Ina Reitzel, Toledo, Iowa, and Mrs. Jesie R. Coons, Des Moines.”

At his home in Des Moines last Friday morning, occurred the death of B. Reitzel, formerly one of the best known citizens of Clarke county. Mr. Reitzel had not been ill except for the infirmaties of old age. His passing was peaceful as one going to sleep.

The deceased was a veteran of the Civil war. For many years he was a prominent business man in Osceola. During recent years he and Mrs. Reitzel moved to Des Moines so that they might reside near their children.
