After the death of Mrs. Holt several years ago, he was again married June 11, 1920 to Clara Judd, who has also preceded him in death.

He is survived by four children, Mrs. Rose Lincoln, Lewis Phillip, Frederick Miller and Mrs. Hazel McHugh; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Boatman of Van Wert and Mrs. Nellie Boggs of Osceola and two brothers, Ed and Wallace Holt of Van Wert.

Mr. Holt was a great lover of nature and books.

Charles E. Hold, 75, well known Osceola citizen was fatally injured Thursday when he fell from a tree two blocks east of the M.P. church. He received a broken back and internal injuries.

Mr. Holt was one of the best known men in the city. He was interjected and honest. Tales of his unusual feats of work are many fold. Unable to reconcile himself to the fact that his age necessitated his being careful, he refued to give up his work of cutting trees and working off the ground. During recent years this resulted in his suffering numbers falls.

Almost three years ago he fell and suffered a fractured back but recovered and was once more a familiar figure about the city.

He was working in a tree about twenty feet above the ground Thursday when he lost his footing and fell. He was seen on the ground and a physical was called. It was evident that he was seriously injured and he was removed to a hospital. His condition became steadily worse and he passed away at noon Friday.
