J. Walter Loomis
Died Last Friday

Funeral services were held for J. Walter Loomis from the Kale funeral home at Truro, Monday, Feb. 3. Rev. Clarence Moore of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was made in the Fields cemetery.

J. Walter Loomis was born in July 1876, at Prairie Grove, near Truro. Here he grew to manhood and was united in marriage in the year 1902 to Miss Lillie Goodrich. To this union three children were born.

Mr. Loomis was a successful farmer and stock raiser, and was well spoken of by his many friends. He spent all of his life near Truro (in Prairie Grove), except five years in Nebraska.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and three children, Cecil of Truro; Lloyd at home and Mrs. Mabel Wynette, of Dedham, Ia. He is also survived by two grandchildren; three brothers, Winfield and Roy of Truro and Ralph of New Virginia; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Sullivan and Mrs. Charles Little of Truro, and Mrs. Nellie Lovel of Douglas, Wyo. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
