Linda R. Patro, age 68, of Iberia, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at her home. She was born in Indianola, Iowa, on June 17, 1944, daughter of the late Clayton and Almarine (Hays) Mateer. On November 8, 1963, in Van Wert, Iowa, Linda married Wayne N. Patro, who survives at the home.

Linda traveled in construction for many years and she later owned and operated Patro’s Place in Iberia with her husband Wayne. Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.

She is also survived by three children, Jeffery Patro and wife Libby of Iberia, Robin Vail and husband Gregory of Iberia, and Juleigh Morris and husband Robert of Iberia; eight grandchildren, Megan Morris, Zachary Patro, Joseph Vail, Kyle Morris, Joshua Vail, Tyler Morris, Michael Patro, and Jacob Vail; three great-grandchildren, Trenton Morris, Journi Vail, and Keiffer Morris; four siblings, Larry Mateer of Osceola, Iowa, Shirley Hamilton of Lucas, Iowa, Clayton Mateer of St. Paul, Kansas, and Anna Henson of Iberia; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

A memorial service was held at the family residence in Iberia.
