OBITUARY

MAXINE MATEER
MCCABE

Maxine May McCabe, daughter of Almarine Hays Mateer and Clayton Mateer, was born Oct, 24, 1928. She died Oct. 24, 1990 at a hospital in Grants Pass, Ore. She was 62. Mrs. McCabe received her education in the Clarke, County schools. On June 13, 1948 she was married to James L. McCabe. They lived in Des Moines and California, and just recently bought a mountain home in Oregon. They were the parents of three children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois and Lola; and one son, Michael Scott.

Surviving relatives are her husband, Jim; son, Dr. James McCabe of Long Beech, Calif.; daughter, Connie of Florida; and one grandson, Steven McCabe of Covens, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Townsend of Osceola, Shirley Hamilton of Lucas, Linda Patro of Riverside, Ill.; three brothers, Roy and Larry of Osceola and Clayton (Sonny) of St. Paul, Kan.; along with many cousins, uncles and aunts.

Funeral services were held Oct. 26, 1990 at Lundberg's Chapel in Grants Pass.

There is a link death cannot sever. Love and remembrance last forever.
