Neriah Goodrich.

Neriah Goodrich, the son of Andrew and Margaret Goodrich, was born in Warren county, July 4,1856, and departed this life at his home in Osceola, Iowa, July 23, 1924, age 68 years, 19 days.

In 1881 on December 13, he was united in marriage with Sarah M. Morris. To this union were born six children, four girls and two boys; Maude, Clifford, Alma, Kate, Andrew and Bessie, all living with the exception of Bessie, who died in infancy. His wife, one sister, Mrs. Swartzlander, with the sons and daughters were with him when death came.

Besides the ones mentioned he leaves to mourn his departure one brother, Riley of Elma, Washington, and five sisters, Mary Roan of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Frances Zarley of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Jennie Welch of Chariton, Iowa and a host of friends and neighbors.

The services at the home were conducted by the Modern Woodmen of America of which he was a member.

He was a kind and loving father, honest in his dealings with others and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and for the righteous cause.

While he never made an open profession of faith, yet, just before he passed away he said, "All is all right, I am ready to go."

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Cooper at Cool church in Warren county, Iowa, Friday at 2:30 p.m. Interment at the Shaver Cemetery.

Card of Thanks.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to neighbors and friends for the kindness and help during the sickness and burial of our dear husband and father, and for the consoling words of the minister, songs and beautiful floral offerings.
Mrs. N. Goodrich and Children
