Carl Ludwig Marks, 87, died at the Las Vegas, Nevada, hospital on Sunday, November 30, 1975. Carl was born May 11, 1888, in Murray, Iowa, son of William Marks and Wilhelmina Zolle Marks. He attended schools in Clarke County prior to his marriage to Ruth Bingham Marks.

He worked for the CB&Q Railroad for many years prior to his retirement and left Osceola to live in Las Vegas in 1966.

He is survived by a son, Robert Marks of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Harry Marks of Humeston and George Marks of Sacramento, California; three sisters, Lena Saddoris of Osceola, Minnie (Gladys ) Mathes of Westminster, California and Alice Lederle of Hollywood, California, and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Saturday, December 6, with the Rev. Ivan C Bys officiating at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
