Hubert, son of Silas and Mary Mustain Page was born near Liberty, Ia., on July 7, 1917 and passed away on January 5, 1964 at the age of 46 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

He grew to manhood on a farm near Liberty and attended the Nortonville school.

On December 23, 1937 he was united in marriage to Ruth E. Mateer at Bethany, Mo. To this union two sons were born, Leroy who passed away at the age of 18 and Dennis at home.

After marriage, Hubert continued to farm until his health failed him nearly three yeas ago. Last spring he sold their farm and moved to Osceola this fall.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Leroy, one sister and one brother who died in infancy, an older sister, Bernice Mugavero, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas E. Page, and his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mateer.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; one son, Dennis, a senior at Clarke Community High School; three sisters, Nola Ramsey, Louise Cooper, and Almeda Reish all of Osceola: two brothers, Basil of Osceola and Burdell of Garden Grove; a step-mother Flossie Page, nine brothers-in-law; Jud Ramsey, Clayton, Gene, Everett, and Earl Mateer all of Osceola, Dale Allen of Avoca and Vincent Mugavero of Ridgefield, Connecticut, five sisters-in-law, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1964 at the Webster Funeral Home with interment in Shadow Land cemetery by his son, Leroy.
Rev. Clinton Wolf of the Christian church was the officiating minister with Emil Rinderspacher soloist and Amy Ruth Harlan organist.
