Funeral services were held Friday, June 27, for Frank Oscar Marks, 78, who died at the hospital in Pontiac, Michigan on Tuesday, June 24, 1975. The Rev. Kathryn Williams conducted the 10:30 a.m. services from the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Murray with burial in the Murray Cemetery.

Frank Oscar Marks was born October 22, 1896, in Murray, Iowa son of William Marks and Wilhelmina Zolle. He was one of 10 children; Freda Woodin, Mary Cummings, Lena Saddoris, Carl, Emma Saddoris, Harry, Alice Moore, Frank, Minnie Veneble and George.

On August 4, 1937 he was married to pearl Zimmerle in Scottsville, Tennessee. Their family consisted of a son by a previous marriage and three daughters born to their union.

Frank worked as an auto accessories wholesale dealer until his retirement in 1970. He had lived in Murray until 1918 when they moved to Chicago and later to Troy, Michigan. Frank was affiliated with the Methodist Church, a member of the Masons and served in WW I.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; daughters, Judith Russell of Troy, Michigan, Joy Marks of Chicago, Illinois, and Pamela Hargrove of Hayward, Wisconsin; Son, Frank Robert Marks Jr; 10 grandchildren; three sisters including Mrs. Lena Saddoris of Osceola and three brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one half sister.
