George William Pollard, 66, of Indlanola, died of a respiratory ailment Sept. 29, 1994, at Good Samaritan Center. Services were held Oct. 3 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Osceola, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Pollard was born in Clarke County and had lived in the Polk County area many years before moving to the care center. He had been a maintenance worker for the State of Iowa and was a member of the Highland Park American Legion.

Survivors include four sons, William of Altoona, Eldon and Mike, both of Indianola, and Patrick of Des Molnes; two daughters, Carolyn Pollard of St. Charles and Pamela Pollard of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, Jim of Chariton, Edwin of Lamoni and Marvin of Lucas; a sister, Mary Ellen O'Donnell of Chariton; and 10 grandchildren.
