GALEN WOLFE
Galen A. Wolfe, 78, of Des Moines, died of leukemia May 29, 1996, at Hospice Kavanagh House.
Services were held June 1 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wolfe was born in Murray and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired template maker at Des Moines Steel, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Eastgate Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Susan Purviance of Altoona and Judy Meyer of Rolla, Mo.; two sisters, Melba Knouf of Des Moines and Leona Culley of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh House or the American Cancer Society.
