Galen Morrow, 76, Des Moines
Galen Ernest Morrow, 76, of Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Jan. 27, 1999, at home. Services were held Jan. 30 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Morrow was born in Murray and had moved to Des Moines in 1981 from Romeo, Mich. He was a retired welder with Ford Motor Co., a Navy veteran and a member of United Auto Workers.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a son, Jack of Des Moines; two daughters, Joyce Merryfield of Altoona and Peggy Jackson of Pleasant Hill; a brother, Robert of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
