W. PAUL SKINNER
W. Paul Skinner, 62, of Osceola died September 10 at home of cancer. Services were September 13 at First Christian Church in Osceola, with burial in Glendale Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Skinner was born in Des Moines and moved to Cushing in 1964, to Afton in 1977, to Murray in 1980 and to Osceola in 1988. He had been a teacher, counselor and principal at several Iowa schools. He was a member of Suprise Masonic Lodge and American Legion, both in Murray, and was a U.S. Marine veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice; a stepdaughter, Sandra Swanson of Urbandale; a stepson, Phillip G. Cummings of West Des Moines; five sisters, Dorothy Yates of Berwick, Bonnie La Barr of Honesdale, PA, Betty Kiel of Horseshoe Bend, AR, Ruth Wescott of Freeport, IL, and Shirley Czyzewski of Toledo, OH; two brothers, John and Ira Jr., both of Des Moines; and five grandchildren.
