Dale McKnight, 74, Osceola
Dale Clifford McKnight, 74, of Osceola, died of a heart ailment Sept. 27, 1998, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Sept. 30 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with burial in Liberty Cemetery in Warren County.

A lifelong Osceola resident, Mr. McKnight had owned and operated a service station there and had also been a heavy equipment operator and
farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Davis Pence American Legion and past president of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; two daughters, Carolyn McCain of Des Moines and Linda Rasmussen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Dale of Osceola; three brothers, Glen and Raymond, both of Osceola, and Earl of New Virginia; three sisters, Phyllis Stump of New Virginia, Helen Day of Bondurant and Betty Downard of Osceola; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #69 in Osceola.
