“Quite a number from this locality attended the Will Brower funeral at the Friends church conducted by Rev. Tuttle. The body was brought from Rochester, Minnesota attended by his wife and relatives.”

“William M. Brower”

“William Martin Brower, son of Samuel and Rachel Brower, was born July 28, 1868, in Decatur county, Iowa, and passed from this life August 19, 1929, being 61 years and 21 days of age.

Mr. Brower lived in or near LeRoy, Iowa, the community of his birth, most all of his life, moving to Rochester, Minnesota, in 1911.

On December 14, 1892, he was married to Miss Evelyn Stanley, a neighbor girl, born and raised in the same community as he. To this union was born four children. The eldest died at birth. The living chilren are: Tressie, now Mrs. F. C. Williamson, Bessie, now Mrs. B. J. Plumley, and Earl Brower. All of these family live in or near Rochester and were present during his last iliness.

When nineteen years of age he was converted and united with the Friends church where his membership remained until his death. While in Rochester the family attended the Methodist church.

Short funeral services were held at the funeral parlors in Rochester, Tuesday afternoon, shortly before the family departed for burial at the Quaker cemetery near the home of his childhood. Final funeral service were held at the friends church, to which he belonged, Wednesday afternoon, Mr. H. O. Tuttle of Van Wert, officiating.

The family appreciates the sympathetic kindness of the community folk during these sad hours of bereavement.”
