“Former Clarke County Resident Died Sunday At Illinois Home”

“Mrs. William (Wilma) Burkhardt former Clarke county resident and sister of Robert Westfall of Osceola, died Sunday in Oak Park, Ill., at the age of 96 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Webster Funeral Home and burial will be in the Hebron cemetery in Clarke county.

The daughter of William and Minnie Westfall, she was born July 23, 1863, in Clarke county. She was educated in the Weldon school and grew to womanhood in that community, and married Alfred J. Burkhardt.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Winston of Cincinnatti, Ohio; two daughters, Phyllis Doescher of Libertyville, Ill., and Shirley Evans of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Alma Wallace of Burbank, Calif.; three brothers, Claude Westfall of Des Moines, Edgar of Pomona, Calif., and Robert of Osceola, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.”
