  “Taken from the funeral sevices pamphlet for Elma Samantha Wallace in which the sevices were held at graveside in the Smyrna Cemetery in Clarke County, Iowa @ 2:00 pm Monday March 3, 1986.   
Elma Samantha Wallace, daughter of William David Westfall, was born May 29, 1890 near Weldon, Iowa and departed this life at the Linwood Gardens Convalescent Home in Visalia, California at the age of 95 years.
    She received her education in the Weldon Schools, after her schooling she taught school in rural Hebron School.
    She was united in marriage to Merton Wallace on March 22, 1913 and six children were born to this union.
    She moved to Los Angeles, California in1939 and to Visalia, California in 1982.
    She was a member of the Hollywood Presbyterian Church, and a 50 year member of the Easter Star At Weldon, Iowa and a Past Worthy Matron.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, one sister and one grandson; Bert Keeler.
Elma is survived by four sons; Warren, Paul and Robert all of Visalia, California; Edgar of Bishop, California; two daughters; Geraldine Eyler of Visalia, California and Dorothy Keeler of Weldon, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.”

“Elma S. Wallace, 95, of Visalia [California] died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker.

She was born in Weldon, Iowa. She married Merton Wallace in 1913. He died in 1927. She moved to Los Angeles in 1939 and to Visalia in 1982.

She was a member of the Hollywood Presbyterian Church and a 50- year member of Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron.

She is survived by four sons, Warren Wallace, Paul S. Wallace, Robert Wallace, all of Visalia, Edgar Wallace of Bishop; two daughters, Geraldine Eyler of Visalia and Dorothy keeler of Weldon, Iowa; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held in Osceola, Iowa with burial in Clarke County, Iowa.

Local arrangements are under Hadley Funeral Chapel.”
