“Harold Westfall Dies Monday”

“Funeral services for Harold Eugene Westfall, 64, will be held from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Thursday, June 27, at 1:30 p.m. He died at his home in Osceola on Monday, June 24, 1974. The Rev. Ivan Bys will conduct the 1:30 p.m. service with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Harold Eugene Westfall was born December 18, 1909, in Clarke County, Iowa, son of Robert L. Westfall and Mary C. Abercrombie Westfall. He graduated from Weldon High School and on February 11, 1946, was married to Alice Watson in Troy, Kansas.

He was a lifetime resident of the Osceola community and was employed by the State of Iowa in the Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the American Legion, Odd Fellows and was active in the Republican party. He was affiliated with the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of Osceola; step daughter, Marie Wright of Willard, Missouri; three grandchildren and one brother, Mansel Westfall of Springfield, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.”
