“Death of Little Girl”

“The messenger of death has again entered our community to claim Evelyn Ruth, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar H. Wallace, living three miles northeast of Weldon. The little girl was born October 2nd 1922, and after a short illness passed away Thursday February 26th, 1925, being 2 years, 4 months and 24 days old, Evelyn leaves to mourn her death, her parents, her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Price and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church at Weldon on Saturday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Ray Frank Moore. Burial was made at Hebron. Through the tears of our sorrow we rejoice that the little one is at peace and rest with God, the lover of all children. We shall look forward to our meeting again whenwe shall find her a jewel among the many jewels adorning the temple of the pure and celestial city.

The sympathy of the entire neighborhood is with these loved ones and our prayer is that they may see the Unseen Guest in every monent of their memory of this lovely one’s short life among them.”
