EVELYN MAY CAMP
Evelyn May Camp, daughter of Oscar Lonzo Morrow and Bertha Ellen Ruark Morrow, was born April 28, 1917, in rural Clarke County near Osceola and died Oct. 8, 1998, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 81.

Mrs. Camp attended rural Clarke County schools and graduated from Osceola High School. She married Clell Camp on Dec. 20, 1941, in Bethany, Mo. The couple became the parents of two children, James Douglas and Marsha Kay. She taught school in Clarke and Madison Counties for four years before her marriage and for six years after.

She spent all of her life in Clarke and Madison Counties. She was a 48-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Venus Chapter No. 295 in Lorimor, and was a member of Winterset Chapter No. 180. She was also a member of the Madison Chapel Church and the Madison Chapel Ladies Aid.

Mrs. Camp, an active member of her community, wrote the Madison Chapel News in the Osceola Sentinel-Tribune for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Margaret Allen and Maxine Kirk.

Mrs. Camp is survived by her husband, Clell Camp of Peru; her son, Jim Camp and his wife, Shelly Camp of Peru; a daughter, Marsha Milner and her husband, Jim Milner, of Pleasantville; four grandchildren, Martin Milner and Melanie Milner of Pleasantville, Rachell Cashman and her husband, LaVerne Cashman, of Murray and Benjamin Camp and his wife, Carrie Camp, of Peru; two great-grandchildren, Cyrus Cashman and Tyler Cashman of Murray; two brothers, Galen Morrow and his wife, Nancy Morrow and Robert Morrow and his wife, Nancy Morrow, all of Des Moines; nieces; nephews; other relatives and host of friends.

Services were Oct. 12 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, the Rev. Dwayne Henrichs of Thayer officiating. Organist Pennie Gonseth accompanied Emil Rinderspacher as he sang Precious Memories, Going Down the Valley and Till We Meet Again.
Casket bearers were Martin Milner, Jeff Kirk, Randy Millsap, Benjamin Camp, Randy Bush and LaVerne Cashman. Honorary bearers were Harold Hartman, Keith Millsap, Raymond Nelson, Steve Millsap and Ronnie Millsap.

Eastern Star services were presented by the Winterset Chapter No. 180 O.E.S. of Winterset.
Interment was in Union Cemetery in Clarke County.
