Roger “Rocky” Allen Price, son of Ernest Price Jr. and Mary Westin Price, was born Dec. 13, 1950, in Clarke County and died June 23, 2003, at his home in Osceola. He was 52.

He received his education in the Clarke County schools and graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1968.

He was the father of four children, Shawn, Andrew, Amy and Meghan.

He was a lifetime resident of Clarke County except for the short time he spent in Palm Beach, Fla. Mr. Price, a talented craftsman, worked in the Osceola area as a carpenter and contractor for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Price is survived by his children, Shawn Price and his wife, Jamie Price and Andrew Price, both of Palm Beach, Fla. Amy Price of Boca Raton, Fla. and Meghan Price of Osceola; mother and stepfather, Mary and Don Butcher of Des Moines; three sisters, Darlene Handrock of Osceola, Vicki Moore, of Payson, Ariz. and Vera Draper and her husband, David Draper of Norwalk; two brothers, Denny Mason and his wife, Donna Mason, of Sanford, N.C. and Bob Mason and his wife, Sandy Mason, of Osceola; one grandchild, Devon Price of Osceola; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service and interment was held May 27 in Maple Hill Cemetery at Osceola, Pastor Rick Titus of Creston officiating.

Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro was in charge of arrangements.
