Frank Dale Reynolds 1913-2002

Frank was a farmer and lived west of Osceola, IA. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Frank Dale Reynolds was born September 2, 1913 at Pond Creek, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on March 20, 2002 at Good Samaritan Center in Indianola. Frank was one of nine children born to Birdie Chestnut Reynolds and Harry Lee Reynolds.
Frank attended' Clarke County schools. He was united in marriage to Helen Berniece Cornelison on February 22, 1936. They drove the sleigh over the fence post to the Methodist/Protestant Church parsonage for the wedding. Frank courted Helen picking her up for a ride on his motorcycle equipped with a sidecar. They celebrated 66 years together in February. Three children blessed this union, Larry, Darrell and Linda. They started farming in Washington Township and in 1943 Frank and Helen purchased a farm in Ward Township where they have lived for sixty years.
In the days when corn was picked by hand, Frank could pick 120 bushel in day, harnessing the horses in the dark, having the first ear of corn hitting the bang boards at first light. Frank farmed all his life and loved nature. If he were mowing hay he would mow around, leaving the hay where a bird had her nest. He enjoyed feeding the finches outside his kitchen window.
Frank was baptized at the Osceola Presbyterian Church on April 11, 1954.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Glenn and Raymond Reynolds and sisters, Icie Turk and Alberta Barcus.
He is survived by his loving wife Helen; sons, Larry Reynolds and his wife Virginia of Weldon, Iowa; Darrell Reynolds and his wife Linda of Osceola, Iowa; daughter, Linda Reynolds of Osceola, Iowa; granddaughters, Faith Bowlsby and her husband Jerry of Osceola, Iowa; Penny Reynolds of Des Moines, Iowa; Sue Cumpton and her husband Brian of Garden City, Missouri; Heidi Burris and her husband Shawn of Osceola, Iowa; Tanya Desmond and her husband Joe of Liberty, Missouri; great grandchildren, Joshua Bowlsby of Des Moines, Iowa; Jeremy Bowlsby and his wife Kristin of Twenty Nine Palms, California; Justin, Jared and Hailey Bowlsby all of Osceola, Iowa; Joni Burris of Osceola, Iowa; Kelsey and Courtney Cumpton of
Garden City, Missouri and Kylar and Rylan Desmond of Liberty Missouri; sisters, Wilma Fuller of Osceola, Iowa, Amy Turnipseed of Indianola, Iowa and Doris VanderEcken of Pleasantville, Iowa as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
