Mrs. Lua Nance, aged 94 years, who had been a resident of Osceola for the past seventy one years passed away very suddenly at the home of her son, David Nance in southwest Osceola Saturday Sept 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Nance had just eaten her evening meal and had gone to the bed to lie down to rest. Within thirty minutes she had passed away.

Funeral services were held from the Webster Funeral Home, Monday at 1:15 p.m. and interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. A ladies quartet from Kellerton furnished the music at the funeral and Reverend F C McCallen pastor of the local Church of Christ delivered the sermon.

Only two of a large family of children survive their mother. They are David of Osceola and Mrs. Claude Walker of Kellerton.
