Maude Floy

Maude Mae Archer Floy, the daughter of Levi Monroe and Rebecca Lyon Archer was born in Madison county, Ia., on May 27, 1885 and passed away at Murray November 16, 1963 at the age of 78 years and 5 months.

She received her education in the Clarke county schools and she was also affiliated with the Osceola Methodist church.

On Feb. 28, 1902 she was united in marriage to Geo. W. McClure in Clarke county, and to this union five children were born.

On February 24, 1928 she was united in marriage to G.P. Floy. All of her life was spent in Iowa and the greater part near Murray. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, two sisters, one brother.

She is survived in her passing by her three sons and one daughter, Cecil M. McClure of Osceola; Roy M. McClure of New Hampton; Forrest E. McClure of Murray and Wilma B. Little of Murray. She is also survived by six grandsons, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, 2 daughters-in-law, Mrs. Cecil McClure, Mrs. Roy McClure and son-in-law, Lou Albert Little as well as many other relatives and friends.

Services Monday, Nov. 18, at 2:00 p.m. were at the Watts-Soll Funeral Home with Walter W. Williams officiating and burial was in the Murray cemetery.
