Merton Forney Dies Suddenly Thursday

Merton Forney, one of Clarke county’s best known farmers and feeders, died suddenly Thursday morning at his home northwest of Osceola.

While he had not been in good health in recent months, he was about his work as usual this morning. He had attended to his chores and gone to the house to rest, complaining he was tired. He was suddenly stricken and died before a physician could reach his bedside.
