Mae C. Emary, wife of Wesley B. Emary, died at the Clarke county hospital Sunday. She was 78 years old.

Services for Mrs. Emary will be held at the Webster Funeral Home, Thursday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Azel L. Smith of Creston officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The family has indicated it will appreciate memorial contributions to the heart and cancer fund.

Survivors include her husband Wesley, four sons and three daughters; Eugene of Peoria, ILL.; Walter of Menlo, Iowa; Glen of Altoona, Iowa; Warren of Des Moines; Mrs. Lucille Steele of Corning; Mrs. Helen Graham of Osceola and Mrs. Bernice Groves of Prole, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; a sister, Anna Hall of Des Moines and a sister-in-law, Mima Criswell of Oakland, Iowa.

Mrs. Emary was born in Lenox on December 22, 1885, a daughter of William and Abbie Brown Criswell. She received her education in Montgomery and Union Counties and had been a resident of Clarke county since 1906. She was married to Mr. Emary on January 7, 1909. She was a member of the Methodist church.
