ROXANNE L. STEPHENSON, Osceola

Roxanne Louise Stephenson, 39, of Osceola died Dec. 24, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 29, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. Phil Coe officiating.

Roxanne Stephenson was born June 24, 1962, in Osceola to William Donald and Irmalee (Sharp) Watkins. She was educated in the Winterset School District, graduating from Winterset High School in 1982. On Aug. 18, 1982, she married Eric Reese Stephenson in Winterset. Roxanne had been a security guard at Wal-Mart in Indianola and also worked at Alley Bowl in Osceola. She was a former Girl Scout leader and had attended the Zion Church near Orient. She had previously resided in Madison and Warren counties before moving to Osceola. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Irma, of Osceola; her companion, Bill Jones of Osceola; children, Ashley Louise Stephenson (special friend Shane Luckett), Samantha Mae Jones and Lanny Shaw Jones, all of Osceola, and Jess E. Stephenson (fiancee Laura Reynolds) of Weldon; three brothers, Bill Watkins, Jr. (wife Cathy) of Norwalk and Dale Lynn Watkins and Brian Lee Watkins, both of Osceola; a sister, Beverly Vance (husband Jim) of Winterset; and her grandmother, Gladys Ruth Weaklend of Osceola.
