Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Marie (Neil) Robertson, 71, of St. Lawrence. The services were held in the Reck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas Barrows officiating. Interment was in the Holden Township Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Peterman, Dwight Chipman, Homer Creager, Lafrd Swaney, Robert Grey and E. V. Story.

Mrs. Robertson, who had not been well for some time, died Saturday, March 11, in Handy County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 10, 1900, at Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Taylor. She received her education in the schools of Akron, and attended college at Cedar Falls, Iowa. August 8,1923, she was married to Neil Robertson at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa.

In 1926, they came to Hand County and established their home in Holden Township, where she resided until her death. She was a member of Plymouth Presbyterian Church, Akron, Iowa until transferring to the Congregational Church in Holden Township. During her lifetime she was very active in church and missionary work. She was a member of the St. Lawrence American Legion Auxiliary and the Sunbeam Ladles Aid.

Her husband died January 29, 1961, and she was also preceded in death by two sons, John Angus and William; her parents, and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Bob, St Lawrence; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harvey and Daryl Taylor, Akron; Iowa, and Lowell, Oskaloosa, Iowa.
